Fine Art Textiles Award @ Knit & Stitch Show Harrogate 28 November to 1 December 2019

“Catenary Boat” has been selected for the Vlieseline Fine Art Textiles Award 2019 and sold at the Knit and Stitch Show in London.

“Catenary Boat” is made using raw earth pigments painted onto several layers of cotton and backed on vintage linen. Hand stitched.

In physics or geometry a’ Catenary’ is the curve formed from the weight of a chain or cable when supported only at its ends.. I have worked with this geometric form over several years.
