Gravitational Force 1687 - Winner of Fine Art Masters (Textile) Award

Gravitational Force 1687  made in 2015,  marks my respect for the ocean tides. A diagrammatical drawing of Sir Isaac Newton’s 1687  explanation of the ocean tide.    This was the first piece of work I exhibited made using earth pigments. I was thrilled that it won the Fine Art Quilt Masters 2015,  not only was it a big validation of my time spent mastering the technique of applying earth pigments to cloth with the soya milk binder, but the prize money enabled me to build my studio
